Method: 1. Put the ladder on the balcony to get maximum height to drop the object from. 2. Find the three boxes that have the same surface area and measure the Surface area of the bottom side. 3. Leave one box 1 whole. 4. Cut box 2 so the surface area is half of box 1. 5. Cut box 3 so the surface area is third of box 1. 6. Cut the box 4 so the surface area is one quarter of box 1. 7.Measure the height from the top of the ladder on the balcony to the ground. 8. Fill box 4 with cornflakes and measure the mass of the object. 9. Drop the box from the same height and use a stopwatch to time how long it takes to drop. 10. Repeat this three times and take the average speed. 11. Put cornflake in box 3 until it’s same mass as box 4. 12. Repeat the step 9 to 10 with box 3. 13. Put cornflake in box 2 until it’s same mass as box 4. 14. Repeat the step 9 to 10 with box 2. 15. Put cornflakes in box 1 until it’s same mass as box 4. 16. Repeat the step 9 to 10 with box 1. 17. Average the times for each surface area to make a fair test. 18. Plot a data in a line graph.
